The "Something More" bereavement program was born out of the love and concern for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. It is a grief counseling and bereavement program offered by Tennessee Donor Services to families of organ and tissue donors and those who would have been donors but could not.
Since 1987, Tennessee Donor Services has had the privilege of working with Dr. Sue Holtkamp. Dr. Holtkamp developed and continues to implement a comprehensive aftercare program for organ and tissue donor families served by Tennessee Donor Services. Dr. Holtkamp received her Ph.D. from Walden University with a focus on traumatic loss and recovery and is certified as a Grief Therapist and Death Educator by the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
The 12-month program includes written material for one year, telephone support, and an annual Memorial Program.
At this time the "Something More" Bereavement program is only offered to those who were served by Tennessee Donor Services. If you are a Tennessee Donor Services family who would like to know more about this program please call 1-800-922-6434. |
